The Catholic Church warmly welcomes new members and seeks to provide appropriate spiritual formation according to each person’s age and needs. Most Catholics are baptized as infants. Adults seeking to enter the Catholic Church—whether unbaptized or baptized in another Christian community—receive preparation through a one-year catechetical process called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), which meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM.

Those who have not been baptized are prepared to receive the Sacraments of Initiation — Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist — at the Easter Vigil. Those baptized in other Christian communities are prepared to make a Profession of Faith and to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist in the Rite of Reception into Full Communion with the Catholic Church, also celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
