Rosina Hogan
Fourth and Fifth Grade Teacher

I was born and raised in Texas. I am married to Walter Hogan and have two children. Both attended St. Joseph in Richardson. My daughter is a graduate of Bishop Lynch, and my son is currently a senior in high school at JPII. I developed a love of learning both in the classroom and out at a young age working on the family farm and at the family auto parts business with my six siblings and parents.

I received my BS in education and a teaching certificate from UNT. I started my 26-year teaching career teaching 5th grade in Ponder ISD for 4 years. I then moved onto Quinlan ISD where I taught 3rd grade for 6 years. I am blessed to have been able to stay home with my children until the youngest entered PK. For the past 15 years, I have taught middle school science part-time at Good Shepherd Catholic School in Garland. My favorite part of teaching is seeing the “ah-ha” moments for students. They are so proud of their achievement.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and going for walks or bike rides, as well as, spending time with my family.
